Andrew J. “Andy” Skinner spent his boyhood in the West of England, moving to Canada iin his early 20s. As an artist, he takes pleasure in painting scenes of the English and Canadian countryside, mountains and seascapes.
His mediums are water based oils, and open acrylics, painted in an impressionistic style, though he has has also worked with watercolour, pastel and pen & ink drawing. Art has always been a hobby for him, something to enjoy in his spare time. His other hobbies include Writing & Poetry.
Andy was one of the founding members of the Richmond Hill Group of Artists, in February 1978. He is now a member of The Village Palettes Group of Artists, and The Schoolhouse Group of Artists. He plans to paint more in the future as retirement replaces the working life.
